HOMECOMING 2008

 

Let’s “Celebrate 60” as Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi brings together students, alumni, parents and friends for Homecoming 2008. This is your time to enjoy the many events that kindle student spirit, build pride among parents and refresh the memories of alumni.

It’ll be a busy week, full of programs and activities that are sure to make this the best celebration in Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s history. From selecting the Homecoming King and Queen to the Islander Men’s Basketball team battling UT San Antonio, there is much in store. And make sure you’re downtown Saturday, Feb. 2, after the game for the big After-Game Bash featuring live music.

Onsite Registration will be held Friday, February 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the University Center.

CAB is once again hosting this wildly popular event! Different activities are going on in every room of the UC. The spotlight performer of the evening is the renowned magician and illusionist Mike Super, who won this fall’s Phenomenon competition on NBC! We’re marching to the American Bank Center to watch our Islanders compete against the University of Texas at San Antonio. Cheer on the parade as many decorated floats lead the way to the big game.

The famous Scott Wiggins Band, known throughout the state for its great Texas Country Rock sound, takes the stage at the beautiful Water Gardens. Get to swingin’ as the night moves on.

JAZZ IT UP AT THE MUSEUM
The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Jazz Ensemble will fill the Art Museum of South Texas with many of our greatest jazz hits. Rub elbows and shoulders as you walk and talk among the world’s greatest works of art.
